The film recounts the story of the African-American mathematician Katherine Johnson and her two colleagues, Dorothy Vaughan and Mary Jackson, who helped NASA catch up in the Space Race. Using their calculations, John Glenn became the first American astronaut to make a complete orbit of the Earth.

On February 20, 1962, Glenn flew the Friendship 7 mission and became the first American to orbit the Earth and the fifth person in space

As well as producing the film, Pharrell Williams also over saw all its musical elements and its soundtrack.

The film first became a reality back on July 9th, 2015. Producer Donna Gigliotti announced that  they had acquired the rights for Margot Lee Shetterly's nonfiction book "Hidden Figures" about a group of black female mathematicians who helped NASA win the Space Race by providing mathematical computations for the launch of John Glenn and his fellow astronauts into space.

Hidden Figures already a couple of awards at the Hollywood Film Awards:

Hollywood Production Design Award (Wynn Thomas)
Hollywood Spotlight Award (Janelle Monáe)

Well, I think this third trailer was unnecessary. We already been given enough from the first two trailer, especially the First Trailer which was over 3 minutes in length, to have an idea of what the film is about and what we can be in store for if we decide to see it. So, I am not sure why the Studio decided to release another trailer which does not offer much more footage or insight into the film. With a true story drama film like this, less is more.

Despite the fact that I think this trailer is overkill, I still plan on seeing the film. Not only is there an amazing story behind everything, but the actors are some of my favorites and look superb. The Studio is going for a December limited release to get the film considered for a possible Oscar nomination, which is definitely a possibility and I will make sure to check this one out too.
