Trailer for Solo: A Star Wars Story.

During an adventure into a dark criminal underworld, Han Solo meets his future copilot Chewbacca and encounters Lando Calrissian years before joining the Rebellion.

Obviously Alden Ehrenreich was not the only actor to audition for the role of the iconic Han Solo. But, he was actually the very the first actor to audition for directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. The directors said that while they liked a lot of the other actors they read with, they increasingly said "the first guy we saw was the best for the part" and that led them to eventually cast Ehrenreich as Han Solo.

Since the release of the new Star Wars films beginning with The Force Awakens, this is the first film I am nervous about. While I am excited and interested in the backstory behind one of the most beloved characters in the Star Wars Universe, I cannot help but feel that this film will be the first letdown. With all the controversy over the Writers & Director and all the reshoots that took place, Disney either has no idea what they are doing with this film or they wanted to make sure they got it exactly right.

Now to Alden Ehrenreich...I am still not sold on him as Han Solo. He has the look, but even though this is just our first trailer, I do not think his manuerisms and dialouge delivery come across as Han Solo. Hopefully we will get a better glimps in the next trailer.
