While it was first suggested that Ron Howard was brought in to complete this Star Wars spinoff, the latest admission makes it clear that the director basically redid the entire film. And, though there is still drama surrounding the film in regards to crew and some rough acting, Howard looks confident in his social media posts.
So confident in fact that Walt Disney is showing just how much they have his back. The studio recently announced that Solo: A Star Wars Story will have its premiere at the Cannes Film Festival.
Judging by this recent Solo: A Star Wars story trailer, it is looking more and more that the story is being built around a major heist. The first act is likely a (re-)introduction to Han, with the second act showing the build up of the team. And, eventually, the final act will be built around a train heist. Does this flow sound right?
In regards to the film itself, I think it looks pretty good! Expectations were low for Rogue One, and I absolutely adored that movie. So let's hope this spinoff can follow suit.
