Green Room brings together two actors from the Star Trek universe, Anton Yelchin and Patrick Stewart are both part of the series. Yelchin plays Pavel Chekov (Chief Engineer) while Stewart played Jean-Luke Picard (Captain)...so it is no wonder that Jean-Luke Picard is back in charge in this film.
This should be quite the break out for Director Jeremy Saulnier who has only previously directed two feature films: Murder Party and Blue Ruin
What an intense film! I love how this trailer uses simple sounds to build tension. From the sound of a door ajar to a bike wheel to the gas gurgling, you get a sense for something bad is about to happen. The sound mixing also slowly mixes them together in the beginning of the trailer and then towards the end when things get real intense, the sounds are much tighter and mixed together in a much more rapid fashion. Sound is everything in this trailer!
It is refreshing to see Patrick Stewart step into the horror genre which we really have not seen him do. He seems to nail the role from what we have seen in the trailers and portrays a true menace.The acting looks be spot on which will make this film all the more terrifying. I have a feeling I will be on the edge of my seat cringing at what may happen next and my body will hurt from all the tension!
