Theatrical Trailer for Gold.

Goldis the epic tale of one man’s pursuit of the American dream, to discover gold. Starring Oscar winner Matthew McConaughey as Kenny Wells, a prospector desperate for a lucky break, he teams up with a similarly eager geologist and sets off on an amazing journey to find gold in the uncharted jungle of Indonesia. Getting the gold was hard, but keeping it would be even harder, sparking an adventure through the most powerful boardrooms of Wall Street.

The film is inspired by a true story and based on The Treasure of the Sierra Madre which was a book made into a movie back in 1948. The two main characters in the 1948 film, which are now played by Matthew McConaughey and Edgar Ramírez, were played by Humphrey Bogart and Tim Holt.

Co-Writers John Zinman and Patrick Massett have written many screenplays together for TV, but this will be just their second screenplay for a feature film. The first was Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001) starring Angelina Jolie, which was both of their first writing jobs ever.

Much of the same footage and feel as the first trailer. You feel like they have given away the entire movie and can pretty much guess how badly things will end up. You can only hope that the adventure ride of this up and down roller coaster is enough to sustain a feature film.

"For better or worse the ride had begun, and what a god damn ride."I remain on the fence on this film. The rags to riches to rags story line can be compelling...get rich quick schemes seldom do work out. Plus one of my big worries is Matthew McConaughey carrying a film. He either nails it or bombs and while I think this role looks to be a good fit for him, it is hard to tell.
