Reluctant to stay at her parents' place, she holes up in a motel room looking for work while waiting for an old friend to call and pick her up. Grabbing a bite at a nearby diner as she waits, the diner owner Frances recognizes the timid Lorna after all this time, and is quite curious to know what Lorna has been up to since she left town 8 years ago. In this unexpected encounter, Lorna must confront the past she left behind, while looms the mundane existence she tried so hard to escape.
