April, 1945. As the Allies make their final push in the European Theatre, a battle-hardened army sergeant named Wardaddy (Brad Pitt) commands a Sherman tank and her five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Outnumbered and outgunned, and with a rookie soldier thrust into their platoon, Wardaddy and his men face overwhelming odds in their heroic attempts to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany.
This will be Director David Ayer's first time directing a war/period film. His prior works include Sabotage, End of Watch, Street Kings & Harsh Times...all crime/cop thrillers. Fury also reunited the Director with the star of End of Watch, Michael Peña.
It is hard to tell from this first trailer how the film will differ itself from the traditional underdog war films. Much of this trailer focuses on the relationship between Wardaddy (Brad Pitt) and Norman (Logan Lerman).
