Fist Fight Trailer (2017)
Trailer for Fist Fight.
Ice Cube and Charlie Day star as high school teachers prepared to solve their differences the hard way in the comedy Fist Fight.
On the last day of the year, mild-mannered high school English teacher Andy Campbell (Day) is trying his best to keep it together amidst senior pranks, a dysfunctional administration and budget cuts that put jobs on the line. But things go from bad to worse when he accidentally crosses his much tougher and deeply feared colleague, Ron Strickland (Cube), who challenges Campbell to an old-fashioned throw down after school. News of the fight spreads like wildfire and ends up becoming the very thing this school, and Campbell, needed.
Director Richie Keen is making the leap into feature films. This will be his first time at the helm of a feature film. He has previously worked mostly on TV shows and is best known for directing almost a dozen episodes of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
Writers Van Robichaux and Evan Susser are also newbies on the feature film scene. They have a very limited experience with writing a couple shorts and some TV work too.
Fist Fight will have some stiff competition when it hits theaters on February 17, 2017. It is the same weekend that The Great Wall, The Dark Tower and A Cure for Wellness open too.
Ice Cube is being Ice Cube in another comedy film, what he does best. He has proven that he can play the tough guy in a buddy comedy role over and over and once again he has taken on the same type of role. But you must admit, he is pretty damn good at it.
This film seems to pack a punch of comedy that completely dives into all the antics that happen in just one day at a school of somewhat dysfunctional teachers. There seem to be plenty of funny parts and I can only imagine how they will end the film. The supporting cast looks great too. All around a great start for this comedy that I likely will not catch opening weekend in theaters, but may the following weekend or On Demand.
