Trailer for First Man, starring Claire Foy, Ryan Gosling, Pablo Schreiber, Kyle Chandler and Ciarán Hinds.
On the heels of their six-time Academy Award-winning smash, La La Land, Oscar-winning director Damien Chazelle and star Ryan Gosling reteam for Universal Pictures' First Man, the riveting story of NASA's mission to land a man on the moon, focusing on Neil Armstrong and the years 1961-1969. A visceral, first-person account, based on the book by James R. Hansen, the movie will explore the sacrifices and the cost -- on Armstrong and on the nation -- of one of the most dangerous missions in history.
First Man is the first film that Damien Chazelle will direct that is not based off a script he wrote. This adaptation is instead based on the novel First Man: The Life of Neil A. Armstrong.
And to think we though Apollo 13 had all the best ready-for-film NASA drama. I had no idea so much stuff went down when it came to getting Neil A. Armstrong. The only thing I can honest remember was that he was first, and had a famous line or two. But this First Man trailer has definitely piqued my curiosity!
So much so that I'm now thinking of taking a peak over at Wikipedia. Or should I not spoil it?
