The movie is based on the wildly successful book "Fifty Shades of Grey" which was released in 2011. The erotic romance novel is written by British author E. L. James and is the first part of a trilogy. The series has sold over 100 million copies!

I think every woman I know has read this book. The tough part about a book adaptation as wildly successful as Fifty Shades of Grey is that each person has his/her own idea of what the characters look like and how they act. I think Charlie Hunnam would have been a better Christian, but only time will tell if women across the world can fall in love with the naughty Jamie Dornan.
