Robert is having an early-life crisis. Unfulfilled in his work and struggling to make ends meet in San Francisco, he's made the tough decision to move back in with his parents in Rochester, NY. Or has he? One year ago, beautiful and sweet Jenny took a room in Robert's apartment. Despite their platonic friendship and the existence of Jenny's boyfriend Glen, Robert hasn't been able to keep himself from falling in love with Jenny. In the days before he leaves for home, he struggles to decide if he should tell her, or move on without taking that risk. Enter Sarah, a mysterious and eccentric young woman who inexplicably attaches herself to Robert and pushes him to look at his life from a different perspective. But Sarah has her own challenges, and by the time Robert heads to the airport, they've each been a catalyst for change in the other's life. Lovingly shot in the neighborhoods of San Francisco, Falling Uphill dives into the uncertainties in life, celebrates friendships and chance meetings, and explores the choices people make when faced with the unknown.
