Once front man of the '90s mega-hit, boy band Eye Candy, Bobby Starrís solo career is definitely so low! Eight years later, headlining kids' birthday parties, bowling alleys and bar mitzvahs, Starr is desperate to reclaim his chart-topping, glam years. Booked to perform at the grand opening of the Catskills' first kosher casino, managed by Orthodox Jews, Starr's dated, hip-swiveling show meets a less-than-enthusiastic reception from the crowd and the ruling rabbis... except for the owner's daughter Rebekkah, who is a big fan. About to enter an arranged conservative marriage, Rebekkah is quietly contemplating a last act of rebellion and Starr - with some behind-the-scenes assistance - is planning his comeback with a modernized show, right there in the schlocky Starlight Lounge. His career may be over and the odds are better of finding kosher pork chops at the buffet... But love may have just begun.
