Everybody Wants Some Red Band Trailer

Red band trailer for Everybody Wants Some shows never before seen R-rated footage from the film.

From writer/director Richard Linklater, a new "spiritual sequel" to Dazed and Confused set in the world of 1980 college life. Everybody Wants Some is a comedy that follows a group of friends as they navigate their way through the freedoms and responsibilities of unsupervised adulthood.

While it might not feel like it, Everybody Wants Some xactly a follow-up but a "continuation" of Boyhood. Scratching your head? According to Linklater, Everybody begins right where Boyhood ends, with the protagonist showing up to college and meeting his new roommates. Seems a bit of a stretch, but who are we to judge the imagination of the director?

Everybody Wants Some had the working title That's What I'm Talking About, as a tribute to a piece of dialogue used in Dazed and Confused.

Cursing, drinking, testosterone and boobs--everything we'd expect from the Everybody Wants Some red band trailer. Some of the latest red bands have been somewhat disappointing and barely, and we do mean barely, meet any of the four criteria above. Not so here! #thankgod

The cast of characters in this film looks like a ton of fun, and the mention that "everything is competitive" suggests tons of fun bits revolving around, well, testosterone-based competition. Expect antics a-plenty.

I'd also like to give bonus points to the trailer for having the character Alex, as played by Tanner Kalina. Around the 50-second mark of the trailer try to close your eyes and tell me he does not sound exactly like Jonah Hill
