Alfonso, an unemployed of middle class, has lost his purchasing power to run out. His wife, Maria, middle-aged, a nurse by profession and mother of a teenager daughter, is the only one that provides incomes to the household, but they are insufficient to satisfy the mortgage, so the family is close to become homeless people. Alfonso, desperated is going to cross the borderline as a last resort.
