Life isn’t easy for an eight-year-old genius. When sweet and highly precocious misfit Jeremy (Martín Castro) is revealed to have an IQ of 160, he quickly discovers that with extraordinary gifts come unexpected obstacles: the pressure to map out his life’s path; fitting in with his loving but clueless (and impoverished) family; and being groomed by an unscrupulous academic, for instance. Yet his biggest challenge might just be learning the importance of being a normal, happy kid.
