Dumbo Trailer (2019)

Circus owner Max Medici (Danny DeVito) enlists former star Holt Farrier (Colin Farrell) and his children Milly (Nico Parker) and Joe (Finley Hobbins) to care for a newborn elephant whose oversized ears make him a laughingstock in an already struggling circus. But when they discover that Dumbo can fly, the circus makes an incredible comeback, attracting persuasive entrepreneur V.A. Vandevere (Michael Keaton), who recruits the peculiar pachyderm for his newest, larger-than-life entertainment venture, Dreamland. Dumbo soars to new heights alongside a charming and spectacular aerial artist, Colette Marchant (Eva Green), until Holt learns that beneath its shiny veneer, Dreamland is full of dark secrets.

Director loves to collaborate with actors he has previously worked with, and this film sure does showcase that.

This is Michael Keaton's fourth collaboration with Tim Burton after Beetlejuice (1988), Batman (1989), and Batman Returns (1992).

This is Eva Green's third collaboration with Tim Burton after Dark Shadows (2012) and Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children (2016).

This is Danny DeVito's fourth collaboration with Tim Burton after Batman Returns (1992), Mars Attacks! (1996), and Big Fish (2003). In three of them, he has played a circus member.

I am feeling a little better about this film based on what we get to see in this trailer versus what they showed in the teaser trailer. However, I am still not sold that this will be a great film.

I do like how we get to see where the story will go and how it will focus on trying to reunite Dumbo with his mother. And of course there has to be some sort of villain to spice things up.
