When a member of a popular New York City improv troupe gets cast on a hit TV show, the rest of the group - all best friends - start to realize that not everyone is going to make it after all.

Looking at the talent and direction of Don't Think Twice, it would seem that the premise of the film has to be based on real experiences. A theory, I know, but likely true.

The dramedy completed a festival run that included SXSW and Tribeca Film Festival before landing a distributor in The Film Arcade.

A dramedy about struggling mid-life actors and comedians attempting to live out their dreams sounds like a tough sell. Swingers did it, but they threw in the whole LA dating scene element. The biggest selling point in the Don't Think Twice trailer is the film's charming cast. Keegan-Michael Key would normally be enough to capture our interest, but you have some other charmers including Gillian Jacobs and Kate Micucci.

But is it enough to head out to theaters? Ehh, probably not, but a strong VOD or premium network showing for sure.
