Code of Honor Trailer (2016)
Trailer for Code of Honor, starring Steven Seagal and Helena Mattsson.
When his family is murdered, a special-ops operative turns vigilante and wages war on all of criminals in his hometown. Can his former protégé, now an FBI agent, stop him before mobsters and police close in?
Steven Seagal has to be feeling fortunate that Code of Honor will have some sort of theatrical release, as the actor has been on a direct-to-video run. His latest films such as Absolution and A Good Man -- plus about a couple dozen before them -- all couldn't find any sort of theatrical distribution.
While I'd like to say it's good to see Seagal doing what he does best, he's been doing this type of role ever since Under Siege. If you were once a 90s Seagal fan, you'd be blown away to discover that the actor has been pumping out on average more than one film each year, all typically in the action/crime genre.
If the story of the film feels a bit familiar, that is probably because you like Marvel comics or have been watching Daredevil on Netflix. Everything about Seagal's Robert Sikes feels a whole bunch like Frank Castle, aka The Punisher. Save for the fact that The Punisher is in his prime and in better shape.
