Clubland Trailer

Paaaarty!! It's 3 a.m. and 50,000 partiers swarm the streets of Toronto's booze-soaked club district while thousands vainly try to get some sleep in the forest of expensive condos that has sprung up in the area. Police on horseback and undercover cops desperately attempt to control the crowds. It's ground zero where partiers and club owners confront frustrated law enforcement officials, city politicians, and bleary-eyed residents shocked by the blaring music, noise, violence, and public drunkenness. The director follows several clubbers and two leading club owners past the velvet ropes into their magical world. He contrasts this with Councillor Adam Vaughan's passionate arguments on behalf of condo residents to limit the number of clubs in the Entertainment District. Clubland takes us deep into the maelstrom of controversy over the largest and most congested playground in North America - 60 clubs and 25 bars crammed into 1.4 square kilometers.
