A live-action retelling of the classic fairy tale about a servant step-daughter who wins the heart of a prince.

While there are plenty of renditions of the story of Cinderella over the er, centuries, we might as well compare a couple noticeable differences between this live-action version and Disney's animated classic.

First off, it would seem that Prince Charming (Richard Madden) is a victim of arranged marriage, with the ball providing him the (desperate) option of finding the girl he met in the woods. In the 1950 animated version, the ball to find a wife for the Prince is the King and Duke's idea, allowing the prince to meet Cinderella for the first time.

There also seems to be an extra level of treachery in this live-action version, whereas the Grand Duke (Stellan Skarsgård) is now working against Cinderella -- possibly in hopes of keeping the arranged marriage -- not for.
