Chris Cleary, brilliant, passionate, flawed, rushes to stop the wedding of his true love, Faye. His demons, it turns out, are too big and when he misses the opportunity to speak now, he stops at the local bar to re-evaluate. Several hours and scotch and sodas later, he stumbles out to harass Faye and her boring but stable husband, Stephen. Faye still loves Chris desperately. She wanted him to stop the wedding, but once Chris arrives, Faye knows that despite all his charm and wit and acumen to see the world, he can never be the husband she wants him to be. Chris, however, thinks he can.
