Captain America: Civil War Feature International Trailer (2016)
Feature International Trailer for Captain America: Civil War.
After another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in two camps, one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark's surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability.
Daniel Bruhl claimed in an interview that the budget for Captain America: Civil War, is so huge that you could make 20 films from it.
Making his debut in Captain America: Civil War, Tom Holland becomes the youngest ever Spider-Man, at 19.
Mark Ruffalo was spotted on set, sparking rumors that the Hulk would appear. However, to the disappointment of many, his role was cut.
Martin Freeman makes his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut as Everett Ross. His Sherlock co-star, Benedict Cumberbatch, also enters the MCU; he will play Doctor Strange in the movie of the same name, to be released in November, 2016.
Another glorious trailer for Captain America: Civil War! This trailer plays much like the Feature Trailer (which is one of my favorite trailers this year) featuring much of the same scenes. But we do get a few new scenes especially the scene between Black Widow and Hawkeye:
Black Widow: "We are still friends, right?"
Hawkeye: "Depends on how hard you hit me"
Will be interesting to see where there relationship ends up. Only about 35 days until left until we finally get to see this!
There is no bigger superhero universe than the one Marvel has created, beginning all the way back in 2008 with Iron Man. DC comics can try, but Marvel are the true experts when it comes to weaving mulitple characters and storylines into multiple movies. Captain America: Civil War, looks set to top them all.
Let's just take a look at the characters appearing in this movie; Iron Man and Captain America, obviously, but also we can expect appearances from Black Widow, Winter Soldier, Hawkeye, Falcon, Black Panter, Ant-Man, Spider-Man, War Machine, Vision, and the Scarlet Witch.
So, if you've taken that epic cast list in, let's turn our attentions to the film. In short, the government decide that the reign of superheroes cannot continue unchecked. To be fair, while often saving lives, their actions have been somewhat divisive and catastrophic at times. Captain America, because he's all blue eyes and teeth, agrees with them. He's the really annoying kid in the class.
Iron Man, the rebel that sits in back (next to me), doesn't appreciate the interference, and it causes a rift between Tony Stark and Steve Rogers, which in turn, prompts everyone to take sides.
Civil War will, apparently, have huge repercussions and permanently alter the shape of the MCU moving forward into phase 3. This sets us up nicely for multiple appearances by other characters in movies such as Spider-Man: Homecoming, Ant-Man and The Wasp, Captain Marvel, and Black Panther. Other phase 3 movies include Doctor Strange (yes!), Guardians of the Galaxy 2, and Thor: Ragnarok.
It's time to pick sides; Team Cap or Team Iron Man. I know where my allegiances lie.
