The comedy is produced by Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg and James Weaver, under their Point Grey Pictures banner (Neighbors, This Is the End), alongside Jon Hurwitz & Hayden Schlossberg (Harold & Kumar series) and DMG Entertainment’s Chris Fenton (47 Ronin).
Good Universe’s Nathan Kahane and Joseph Drake (Don’t Breathe, Juno) executive produce with Chris Cowles (Collide) of DMG and Josh Fagen, Dave Stassen and Jonathan McCoy. The film is written by brothers Brian & Jim Kehoe, Hurwitz & Schlossberg and Eben Russell.
Talk about an over the top comedy with quite the unsuspecting trio at the forefront with John Cena, Leslie Mann and Ike Barinholtz. And surprising that out of those three in a comedy film, that John Cena steals the show. You would think that a giant WWE wrestler would gravitate more towards action films, but based on his recent choices in movies (Daddy's Home 2, Ferdinand, Trainwreck) it seems he enjoys his softer side a bit more.
I think this film looks like a fun ride and something that every parents dreads, especially if you have a daughter. If you have not yet seen the Red Band Trailer, check it out because there are some more crazy scenes in there. The butt chug scenes looks to be a perfect example of what you will get yourself into if you decide to see this one.
