Sugar Kisses is a coming-of-age story about two young teenagers in the violent market neighborhood of Tepito in Mexico City. Nacho is the son of a corrupt agent who sells pirated music, and Marya is the daughter of the most powerful owner in the market who’s trying to move her up in the strict social hierarchy of Mexican society. Together, Nacho and Marya will experience the joy and heartbreak of first love against the backdrop of corruption, violence, discrimination and poverty of the world in which they live.
