Before I Go To Sleep is a psychological thriller based on the worldwide best-selling novel about a woman who wakes up every day remembering nothing - the result of a traumatic accident in her past - until one day, new terrifying truths emerge that force her to question everyone around her.
The main character, as played by Nicole Kidman, is suffering from a real condition known as anterograde amnesia. As explained in the film, this condition leaves the individual without the ability to store new memories for an extended period of time after some sort of trauma to the brain. Sound familiar? This condition has been explored before in the film Memento.
