Deleted scene that will appear in the R-rated Blu-Ray edition of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
With Doomsday defeated, Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) gets arrested by a SWAT team that has gained access to the kryptonian scout ship where Lex is hiding. But, before doing so, we catch Lex in a trance-like state inside the birthing pool used to create Doomsday. Right in front of Lex is a demonic looking monster, which has been theorized to be a communication to Lex from Darkseid, with the messenger meant to look like one of the demons shown in a painting Lex is fond of. In the demon's hands are three boxes, which could related to the same mother box used to create Cyborg--which was also shown in the film. Upon the arrival of the SWAT team, the demon disappears, ending the connection or message incoming to Lex Luthor. While it would seem that the message was not completed, Lex learned enough to cause him to warn Batman that someone was coming after being placed in jail.
