Theatrical trailer for Baby Driver, also known as the "TeKillYah" trailer.

A young and talented getaway driver named Baby (Ansel Elgort) relies on the personal beat of his preferred soundtrack to be the best in the world of crime. When he meets the girl of his dreams (Lily James), Baby sees a chance to ditch his criminal life and make a clean getaway. But after being coerced into working for a mysterious criminal (Kevin Spacey), he must face the music when an ill-fated heist threatens his life, love and chance of freedom.

It's still early in the game, with this actioner due out in about four weeks, but the Tomatometer at RottenTomatoes still lists Baby Driver at 100%. That is insane. Sure, that will likely drop a bit as the film approaches theaters, but expect this Edgar Wright installment to sit in the mid 90s when all is said and done. That is amazeballs!

So of course Sony Pictures can't help but brag, including some of the critical acclaim in this new trailer. Can we blame them? No. As this movie looks insanely awesome. If you are already an Edgar Wright fan -- and why wouldn't you be? -- then you already know the greatness to expect. But, if new to the director, Baby Driver is looking to make for an incredible introduction to Wright's style.

I've pretty much summed up my thoughts above. But I'll just follow that up by claiming that Baby Driver is one of my most anticipated films in all of 2017. Nice to have something original that doesn't require a comicbook to get legs. And, while the trailers so far have only teased the notion, I can't wait to see how the film plays like one giant, wild music video. It may even make Guardians of the Galaxy's Awesome Mix jealous.

Who's with me?
