A time lapse of the setting up of the Tress of Souls from Avatar.
In conjunction with international Earth Day, and in advance of the DVD release, we are creating a real-life version of the Tree of Souls that was pivotal to the Avatar movie. It will come to life at Speakers Corner in Hyde Park for 3 days from Saturday 24 - Monday 26 April and will be a giant, life sized replica tree, with 20 miles of fibre optics branches to make it interact with the public (like the real Tree of Souls in the film). The public can connect to the tree by using their I-pod, phone, blackberry etc to enable them to manipulate the movement, colour and glow of the tree, make social networking status updates (Facebook, Twitter etc) with an Earth Day message and upload photos and messages to a screen built into the trees trunk.
