Ava Dobkins is recovering from demonic possession. With no memory of the past month, she is forced to attend a Spirit Possession Anonymous support group. As Ava struggles to reconnect with her friends, get her job back, and figure out where the huge bloodstain in her apartment came from, she's plagued by nightmarish visions—the demon is trying to come back.

Ava's Possessions did about a year worth of Festivals before landing a distributor, Momentum Pictures, to achieve a wider theatrical release. Spotted at both SXSW and Fantasia Fest, the film's early reviews have been mixed at best.

Though not typically a fan of the horror films, the genre becomes a lot more attractive when it's blended with another. Take Shaun of the Dead  or This is the End for example. Absolutely love those movies. Does Ava's Possessions fall into the same comedy slash horror "genre"? Judging by the trailers, most definitely. Our only issue now is that the trailer does have a bit of a low-budget, made for TV vibe that we are having a hard time getting past.
