SWTOR Knights of the Eternal Throne Trailer is Amazing!

While we don't have a section for video games, every once in a while there is a game that is so great -- and film related -- that we can't help but talk about it. To give some of my own gaming background, I called myself a gamer during my college years. Putting aside (too many) hours into video games, I could be found in Unreal Tournament levels, Halo battles, and Counter Strike assaults. Being a huge Star Wars fan, I was sure to play Rebel Assault, X-Wing and other Star Wars titles. One such title that left me speechless was Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. The game featured an ending twist that would have made both M. Night Shyamalan and JJ Abrams jealous.

To this day, I demand that the original Knights of the Old Republic be considered for an adaptation. With Disney looking to make back their investment, I can't believe they have not given this game a few good looks. I don't want to give anything away, but it's fantastic. If scripted right, it could easily become the best Star Wars spin-off film. All while extending the cinematic Star Wars universe outside the fold it seems stuck in at the moment. I am contemplating an article dedicated to this game, but that's for another time.

The game has since opened a Massive Multiplayer Online (MMO) franchise. Like World of Warcraft, the Star Wars: The Old Republic franchise is given expansions to provide players with more levels, storylines and character. The latest expansion is coming December 2nd, 2016, under the title Knights of the Eternal Throne. Though the game is sure to be cool, we are instead focused on its trailer.

Star Wars: The Old Republic Knights of the Eternal Throne Trailer

While you won't find me in The Old Republic universe, the trailer for the franchise's expansion is enough to have me wishing for a movie. I have no idea what the story entails, but it obviously has another person being enticed by the dark side of the Force. Like a female Anakin. While the trailer isn't live-action, the CG animation is incredible. And though my preference would be for a live-action Star Wars movie, I'd take this medium in a heartbeat. Just as long as it looks like this.

There is a lot to rave about, but I'm going to shut up and let the trailer below do the talking.
