Suicide Squad Extended Trailer Shows More Harley Quinn As Spinoff Nears

MovieFone reports that an extended edition of Suicide Squad is about to hit the shelves and download charts. To celebrate, Warner Bros has released a new trailer showing a glimpse of that extra action. That added footage shows the main protagonists Joker (Jared Leto) and Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) in a couple of tense scenes. Including one where the former psychiatrist is pointing a gun to her patients head before her transformation.

November 15th is when the extended cut will be made available to the public in digital HD format. While the DVD and Bluray editions will be able to be snapped up just before Christmas on December 13. Given the news from DC that Harley Quinn has earned her own spinoff film as a result, the extra scenes might offer some insight into her backstory and where the narrative could intersect with one and other.

Leto Furious As His Best Scenes Were Cut From Main Release

Joker and Harley in Suicide Squad

When IGN spoke with Thirty Seconds From Mars frontman Jared Leto, they thought they were going to get some platitudes about how great an experience it was being the villain of the piece and taking part in a blockbuster. But the performer was having none of it. The extra 13 minutes might give a taste of what was cut from the original release, but if the actor is to be believed, a lot was let go.

"Were there any that didn't get cut from the movie? I'm asking you, were there any that DIDN'T get cut?" rhetorically asked Leto. "Oh, there were so many scenes that got cut from the movie, I couldn't even start, I think that the Joker, we did a lot of experimentation on the set, we explored a lot. There's so much that we shot that's not in the film. ... If I die anytime soon, it's probably likely that it'll surface somewhere. That's the good news about the death of an actor is like, you know, all that stuff seems to come out."

Celebrities Don Harley Quinn Costumes For Halloween

Halloween brings out all types of the weird and wacky. And this year was no different. With Harley Quinn breaking through in the critical flop, Just Jared reported that none other than Lindsey Lohan hit the town in the costume while The Daily Mail reported that Stacy Ann Ferguson, aka Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas, followed suit with her partner Josh Duhamel on a trick or treat excursion.

Suicide Squad was a major disappointment but this gives an indication how iconic Margot Robbie's character was in the flick. Fingers crossed the studio can get their act together for her spinoff because the passion from the fans is out there.
