Chris Hemsworth Asked Marvel If He Was Fired From Thor

Such is the comfort and regularity of crossover stints and guest cameos on each other's movies, Chris Hemsworth reached out to Marvel to see if he was still gainfully employed by the superhero studio. With Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Anthony Mackie, Paul Rudd, Jeremy Renner, Chadwick Boseman, Don Cheadle, Tom Holland and a cast of others joining Chris Evans for Captain America: Civil War, the Australian clearly felt left out.

Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, the actor outlined that he sought reassurances from the powers that be. All before telling him that they had other ideas in mind ahead of Thor: Ragnarok.

"I was like, 'What? Are we being fired?'," he pondered. "Marvel quickly reassured us, 'No you guys have got your own journey going on, and in order for that to work you can't be a part of this one.' Look, it turned out just perfect because we got to do a whole different kind of thing we wouldn't have been able to do otherwise."

Chris Shows Off His Workout Routine

Trainer Luke Zocchi from Zoco Body Pro has been described by Hemsworth as a "flat out legend", as he worked every inch of his muscle to get into Thor shape. Posting up on Instagram this week, the 33-year old demonstrated what it took to look superhero ready and stuck to a regiment derived from the PT. Including sprints on the exercise bike to enhance cardio output.

It's a grand old life for the Hollywood trainer Zocchi, who posted his own still alongside Liam Hemsworth's partner Miley Cyrus. He was also crucial in getting compatriot Cate Blanchett up to speed on her routine before fronting the cameras in the part of Hela.

Thor Theme Park Opening In Norway

Thor Theme Park in Norway

Expanding upon themes from the Norse mythology and the Thor comic books and movies, ITEC Entertainment are working on the development of a theme park to make the experience interactive. It is believed to mix some of elements of viking history with the fictional Marvel world, as ITEC released a statement on the topic.

"Prepare yourself to embark onboard an amazing journey deep into the viking sagas. Granted you’re truly prepared for this, we welcome you to Thor’s Rike, where the viking age returns back to life," they remark. "Celebrate your own viking-spirit that dwells inside you, with rides and rollercoasters, authentic shows on stage, eat like the vikings did and try if you dare, to negotiate with them at their many stores."
