Aquaman Release Production Shot and New Logo

There has been a lot of movement at the Aquaman station over the past couple of months. Not only has Dolph Lundgren and Nicole Kidman joined an already all-star cast, but production has now got underway. Posting from his official Instagram account creeptypuppet, Australian director James Wan indicated that he will be M.I.A. with his cast. Including Jason Momoa, Willem Dafoe, Amber Heard and co. until at least October. Giving him approximately six months to make the movie.

"Months of intensive prep have led to this," the filmmaker posted. "Day one of photography. See you all around Halloween. Let's dive! #Ahab‬."

While fans will be disappointed not to see any sneak peak of Momoa, Heard or another superhero/villain of the piece, Wan's understated social media presence is a contrast to Zack Snyder. Who is often criticized for delivering more good content online that on the big screen.

Wan Keeping Some Trade Secrets Up His Sleeve

The underwater setting showcased by Wan illustrates that he is keen to keep as many cards close to the chest as possible. Warner Brothers has not commented on the possibility of the cast and crew visiting Sicily, as the feature had to push back the film from July 27 to three months later.

Gold Coast in Wan's native Australia, Tunisia and Newfoundland have been locations reported to be part of production, but other sets have been kept under lock and key. The director has a talented team behind the scenes with his photography, including the likes of Don Burgess, Kirk M. Morri and Bill Brzeski who have experience working alongside the filmmaker with The Conjuring and Furious 7.

Title Gets An Aesthetic Makeover For Posters

A logo does not change much in the greater scheme of things, but it is an indication that production is sticking to schedule as they prep for an October 5, 2018 release date in theaters. The next phase is sure to showoff the stellar cast at DC and Warner Brothers.

Stayed tuned for the likes of Amber Heard (Mera), Willem Dafoe (Vulko), Temuera Morrison (Tom Curry), Dolph Lundgren (Nereus), Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (Black Manta), Patrick Wilson (Orm/Ocean Master) and Oscar winner Nicole Kidman (Atlanna) appearing on billboards and posters.

The November 17 release of Justice League will give fans a 2017 taste of what Momoa has to offer as Arthur Curry, with the potential to include one or more of his Aquaman offsiders as well.
