5 Best (And 5 Worst) Wrestlers Turned Actors

3. Triple H

Triple H Blade Trinity

'The Cerebral Assassin' Triple H is a 14-time World Champion in WWE (which we're sure burns him up, as he is only one reign behind John Cena). He is the current Chief Operating Officer of the company and occasionally still makes appearances as an on-screen talent. NXT, the developmental brand in WWE that has actually becoming a touring act of it's own, was Triple H's vision. He has had a big hand in their success.

His experience as a thespian (and we use that term very, very loosely) is limited, but woeful enough for inclusion on this list. His role in 2004's Blade: Trinity as the wonderfully named Jarko Grimwood was cringeworthy. Unsurprisingly, Hollywood didn't come calling for bigger roles. His next two substantial credits were in the WWE produced The Chaperone and Inside Out in 2011. Both of these were dismally received and performed about as well. To be fair to The Game, he gave the impression in interviews that he didn't really want to act in these movies, but his father-in-law Vince McMahon twisted his arm (emotionally). We doubt we'll see him in any further movies, and we believe he'd be perfectly fine with that!

2. Kurt Angle

Often cited as one of the great professional wrestlers ever, Kurt Angle initially made his name as a Olympic athlete. He won a gold medal in freestyle wrestling at the 1996 games, before switching to pro-wrestling, and became a massive star during the Attitude Era in WWE. He had one of the greatest 'rookie years' in wrestling history when he won the European, Intercontinental and World Championships, as well as the King Of The Ring tournament. In fact, many observers have said no one adapted to the world of pro-wrestling as quickly as Kurt Angle.

Angle went on to wrestle the majority of his career in TNA, and pursued other things while there, including acting. He hasn't had anything close to the same level of success, though. His main credits are direct-to-DVD horror movies like River Of Darkness, Death From Above and Pro-Wrestlers Vs Zombies. Which, honestly, sounds like it should be incredible. But, alas, it's not. His one saving grace is his role as Koba, a Russian MMA fighter in Gavin O'Connor's excellent 2011 film Warrior.
