Out for a weekend getaway, brother and sister Alissa and Jeff are thrilled to introduce their friends Matt, Mandy and Sean to the siblings’ favorite childhood forest retreat. But they soon find themselves stranded as day turns to night in the woods they no longer know.
The worst is yet to come when the group is terrifyingly descended upon by a hideous creature lying in the shadows. Struggling to find help after the attack they seek shelter in an abandoned house already filled with three other, unfortunate strangers. Forced together, the group is thrust into a nightmarish struggle for their lives. Hunted by something indescribable, the safety they thought would be found within the walls of the structure has instead become a gruesome reminder of their unspeakable situation. As tensions within the disparate group mount, they can only ask themselves what terrible events happened in the house, what is the creature that awaits them outside and, most important, will they survive?
