Among the Living Trailer

Trailer for Among the Living, which will be released to the States on March 7th, 2016, by Metrodome.

From two of horror’s most exciting directors comes Among the Living - a gut-wrenching horror like nothing you’ve seen before.

Three kids skip school in order to explore an abandoned amusement park when they stumble upon the horrific acts of a twisted murderer disguised in a clown mask. Terrified by what they saw and the thought that the man will come after them, the boys alert the police. But their pleas for help fall on deaf ears and soon it is not only their own lives that are in danger, but those of their families as well.

Directors Alexandre Bustillo and Julien Maury announced production plans for Among the Living, aka Aux Yeux des Vivants, back in 2012 and, within the year, was able to raise funding for the film thanks to crowdfunding. Production begin in June, 2013 and the horror found its way into French cinemas by mid-2014. The film's reviews turned out being mixed, which explains why it has taken two years for a domestic release.

The visuals in the Among the Living trailer are terrific. Love how the preview kicks off by introducing some rebellious teens, suggesting something of a different genre, only to do a slow reveal that something's not right in paradise.

Queue the fast strings, shots of characters in trouble, and shit turning crazy. The preview finalizes with a shot that leaves audiences questioning what they just witnessed. Now, I'm not all that in to the horror genre unless it comes with a Shaun of the Dead twist, but this looks like it is jampacked full of thrills.
