Allied is the story of intelligence officer Max Vatan (Pitt), who in 1942 North Africa encounters French Resistance fighter Marianne Beausejour (Cotillard) on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Reunited in London, their relationship is threatened by the extreme pressures of the war.

This is the 18th film directed by Robert Zemeckis.

We get our first look at Allied and unfortunately it is just a teaser. But, nonetheless it is a great first look at the film.

“Brad and Marion immediately had the utmost respect for each other, so once they delved into their characters, their chemistry was electric,” Graham King, the film’s producer, told People, emphasizing how much prep the actors put in. “By the time we got to set, it was really amazing to see these characters already feel lived in and real.”

This has Oscar bait written all over it, with Brad Pitt and Marion Cotillard in the lead roles, written by Steven Knight (Eastern Promises, Locke) and the great Robert Zemeckis at the helm. It should be in the talks for nomination(s) as Oscars get closer, now lets just see when we can get a full trailer.
