Trailer for All Nighter.
A workaholic father who attempts to visit his daughter during a layover in LA, only to discover that she's disappeared, is forced to team up with her awkward ex-boyfriend to find her over the course of one transformative night.
Director Gavin Wiesen has not previous experience at the helm of a feature film. He has only worked on two other films: The Art of Getting By & Kill the Day (Short).
All Nighters is Written by Seth W. Owen who also has little prior experience with also just two other films: Morgan & Peepers.
Not only is the film based in Los Angeles, but the entire film was shot in Los Angeles (a rarity).
The film is scheduled to be released in a limited release on March 17, 2017, before being released through video on demand on March 24, 2017
I am a big fan of J.K. Simmons and upon seeing him in this trailer I was excited. And then you get to see other actors/actresses like Emile Hirsch, Analeigh Tipton and Kristen Schaal and you think this has to be a good movie. But I had mixed feeling after watching the trailer.
Although the plot line seems a bit weak, I am hopeful that this cast could bring this film to something stellar. I am glad to see JK taking on more of an "action" role, since I have wanted to see him kick some ass ever since the photo was released of him absolutely ripped in the gym. He is perfect for this role and a very believable tough father. But my worry is that the story feels forced and hopefully if we get a future trailer, it will brings together better.
