In Joshua Grannell’s spot-on homage to horror movies, Deborah, a mousy librarian with stars in her eyes, becomes the homicidal proprietress of a midnight movie palace. Capturing her killings in a series of elaborate Grand Guignol snuff films, Deborah is hailed as an outré horror savant. Emboldened by the glow of the spotlight, she recruits a sociopathic crew, including murderous identical twins and a cadaverous projectionist, to help lure her unwitting stars from the aisles and onto the silver screen. Problems arise when the bodies begin to pile up like spilled popcorn and a starstruck fan attempts to peek behind the red curtain. Can he stop Deborah before she makes her next masterpiece.
