Special look trailer for Alice Through the Looking Glass that provides a new song and never before seen footage.
Alice returns to the whimsical world of Wonderland in hopes of traveling back in time to save the Mad Hatter.
The song you are hearing in this Alice Through the Looking Glass trailer is the cover of Jefferson Airplane's "White Rabbit," which Pink recorded for the film. The film will also feature an original track from Pink as well, though that song is still being kept under wraps.
It is great to hear the voice of the late Alan Rickman--He will be greatly missed. Disney seems to make sure to include a snippet of the Blue Caterpillar in all marketing materials nowadays. Coincidence? We think not.
There is definitely a "cool" factor to this Alice Through the Looking Glass trailer that the last preview was sorely lacking. While I originally thought Pink's cover of "White Rabbit" was strange, holy wow does it fit when matched up to the film's visuals. And, might I add, point out that the visuals look terrific.
Considering that I wasn't a fan at all of the first installment, I have to admit that I am impressed that this single condensed trailer has drawn me back to at least being curious about Alice Through the Looking Glass; which is the ultimate goal of trailers. So, in that regard, well done!
Hopefully the next trailer can follow up in similar er, tone to this one.
