Born into an impoverished family, and further saddled with a debilitating stutter after the trauma of his father’s tragic death, Dilsher (Vicky Kaushal) goes to the big city to seek out Sikand (Manish Chaudhari), a self-made tycoon from the same village. Smartly insinuating himself into the businessman’s corporate world, the ambitious and determined Dilsher compromises his morals to get ahead, and is even invited to move into his boss’s lavish estate, much to the dismay of Sikand’s trophy wife and despised son (Raaghav Chanana). A meeting with beautiful singer Amina (Sarah Jane Dias) reminds Dilsher of a different course (and allows for some glorious song and dance numbers).
