That's because you're an idiot who knows nothing about movies!
Argo

I can't be the only one who thinks this movie is a Republican fund raiser.
The Expendables 2

I was WAY off. Even about the gravity of Mars. But I did figure they wouldn't set it there, and still they did, bizarre.

This is exactly what I'm talking about, you don't think Battle Royale will compare to *this*!? This is a PG13 movie about kids killing each other, that hasn't even been released yet, and you're SOOO sure that it's going to be better than Battle Royale, a movie that has been out for well over ten years now and retains a *7.9* on the Internet Movie Database. Your speculation is a joke people. Unless you mean that they are not comparable - literally, which - there's a pretty transparent flaw there, in that the premise for both is the same. The problem I have with all of you people is that you speak like you're psychic. I"m going to reserve my judgement, but seeing as how it's PG13, it's hard to imagine it will have the kind of edge a story like this would usually have by default.
The Hunger Games
Trailer
(2:36)
I'm pretty sure they dropped "of Mars" because they aren't f--king on Mars! First of all, the planet isn't *red*, Mars is freezing, and he's freaking naked, and the gravity is *heavier* (not like the moon). I'm pretty sure if this is Mars the dude should be a basketball playing mountain climber because his abilities would suit those two professions rather well. - Or you know, just a superhero. Look, I know there are aspects of the books here that I'm probably unaware of. But lets face it anyone with a rudimentary knowledge of Mars is going to have trouble (possibly) suspending their disbelief if it's set there, (we know about Mars) and it doesn't have to be set there! The aliens in Spielbergs "War of the Worlds" didn't come from there either! So in a way - at this point - if it is set on Mars, that's just silly.

Are we doing Hunger Games vs. Battle Royale now? Because I'm pretty sure no matter what side you're on, you're going to lose. I don't know much about the Hunger Games, but only an idiot would talk crap about Battle Royale on *any level* - given the premise, and it's obvious success if they're a fan of the Hunger Games. - Especially if they did 'love' it. And no one should be pretending they know anything about this movie before they've seen it. So if you want to consider Battle Royale a 'real movie' what the hell is this? Oh that's right, you haven't seen it! You guys should be ashamed of yourselves... IMO. You've initiated the most predictable argument since the release of the first book in the series.

Good for you...
The Hunger Games
Trailer

Your comment is 'enormously unoriginal'. There is no original idea in narrative media. Just saying... I know I might catch some heat from his loyal fanbase, but this might be the only Statham movie I've ever been excited about seeing. If the acting isn't as rigid as it looks (in places) it could be a really strong movie. But the whole 'New York' underworld thing *is* way overplayed. You'd think crime was never committed anywhere else except for L.A. and an occasionally ultra dilapidated Detroit.

...the director of Old School, and the Hangover, two movies that have entered the classic comedy realm with relative ease, but this looks really pointless and stupid, and not in the way that those two movies were. And 'party movie' is not a genre anyway, so he should leave well enough alone, and quit while he's ahead. I don't know anyone who liked Hangover 2, so I'll use that to point out that he needs to stop repeating himself - which seems to be something he's quite comfortable with. Here's a hint - we WILL get bored eventually. - The sane people will.
Project X
Trailer
(1:38)
Looks like it *could* be really good. It also looks like a gimmick, designed for (among other things) fans of Call of Duty - who, btw, would rather spend their time playing the games than watching this.
Act of Valor

Sounds like a lame hipster
The Divide
Trailer
(1:54)
Now there's reason to believe the series went over the top. Although it's hard to know for sure, without proper context. Especially since; for example, the second film had elements in the trailer that did not appear in the finished film... Didn't look like this though.
Paranormal Activity 3

To hell with Smokin' Aces, the guy directed Narc!
The Grey
Trailer
(1:28)
I really don't understand who watches that and goes, 'meh, I don't really want to see that' And it's *directed* by Jackie Chan? That man is an artist, I hope this is good enough to net him some awards. It sure looks like it.

I thought the accent (or inflection) was terrible at the beginning. But that's exactly what I said about Blood Diamond, and his accent was perfectly fine when you watched the movie. The rest of the trailer sells it any way. I am definitely pumped! - Go Eastwood, we could use *at least* another ten years of this.
J. Edgar
Trailer
(2:33)
I love how on the DreamHouse trailer everyone's like; 'Wow, they showed a major plot twist in the trailer, well I bet it happens early on, and they must have real faith that the rest of the movie is appropriately intriguing. Interesting I will see this' But for this they're like; 'Spoiler in a trailer!?: Ruined - I'm not watching this crap!' LOL
The Double
Trailer
(2:26)
This is the third of a stoner movie franchise... one of the guys went to the Whitehouse (literally) and the other guy moved on to Star Trek, It's a Christmas special, and it's in *3D* to say that I was absolutely prepared to sigh, hit the play button and roll my eyes and move on, is a MASSIVE understatement. You'll then understand why it's embarrassing for me to admit that after seeing the trailer I feel like watching this movie now.
A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas

Nice of the website to cut off my subject-line without a heads-up
Red Tails
Trailer
(2:38)
I think we all know what that reason is. And there really aren't that many Holocaust films coming down the big budget pipeline either. You guys are being ridiculous. It looks okay. I'd much rather see this than all the stereotyping black comedy films that float around. But I think altogether Hollywood should stop patronizing black Americans as 'That subset of people who will watch anything that involves a giant cast of black actors'
Red Tails
Trailer
(2:38)
There's going to be a lot of talk about Freaky Friday and all types of other BS, as if there's really such a thing as an original idea anyway. But I can't lie, doesn't look like the worst movie ever. I'm interested in hearing what people who actually watch the movie have to say about it. If I hear it's good I might check it out in theatres, if not I'll Netflix that bitch. Also reversing these two actors typecasts is really where the heart of the idea is, and I'm interested in seeing that play out.
The Change-Up
Feature Red Band Trailer
(2:12)
It's actually an incredibly ironic cliche to say that Hollywood is out of ideas. The notion that they have, and that they're basing films on board games by Milton Bradley to 'play it safe' is absurd. Why? Because there's nothing safe about this. I see absolutely know logic in the financial strategy here, it's not a good idea - how often do people play board games? - are they big enough fans of the games themselves, and their non-existent story to run out and watch MOVIES about them? The money for this could have been put into something with narrative and heart attached to it. Maybe it wouldn't have, but I can't believe this. Hollywood isn't running out of ideas, it's just filled with hacks who wouldn't know their ass from a hole in the ground. - Then again you could negate everything I said. Who else is a fan of Pirates of the Caribbean? And don't say anybody would have thought that was a good idea before it came out... Still, most, if not all of these board game movies aren't going to work though. I'd put money on it.
Battleship
Trailer

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if this is a good movie, maybe even great, but this trailer is just terrible. I should hope the movie is better than that.
Haywire
Trailer
(2:36)
The concept always sounded cool to me back when it was called I'm.Mortal. But this trailer, I can't shake the sense of Gamer. Not that there are any narrative similarities, it just looks unfortunately silly. Good reviews would restore my faith though. And yes Timberlake is actually a good actor, from what I've seen. I really don't think this evokes Gattaca at all though....
In Time
Comic Con Trailer
(3:57)
You really think that's the trigger event for this whole thing? That's 'Bloody Mary'? And how is it not subtle? What's wrong with you? Did she jump at the screen? Did the mirror break? Did she attack the kids? It's a figure of a woman in the dark - and she STANDS THERE! 'Oh my GOD how much more over the top could you possibly get!?' Yeah, use some real logic next time.
Paranormal Activity 3
Trailer
(1:37)
How do you know if a movie is good unless you watch it. As far as sequels go the filmmakers are trying really hard not to cross too many lines by being subtle. I respect that. This ain't Saw. I'll agree with you if they ever get to number four and they don't have any new characters. Or ditch the found footage genre. As long as they keep the low budget feel and creepy suspense I'm still intrigued. I mean, grow up. It's not the end of the world.
Paranormal Activity 3
Trailer
(1:37)
You are not smart. This is not a remake, it's a prequel. It's a prequel that John Carpenter actually wanted to be in. Can you say 'officially sanctioned'? In addition, any movie fan worth his salt is aware that The Thing was already a remake - so there you have it.

Contagion

It looks about as interesting as uninteresting movies can be.
11-11-11
Trailer
(1:45)
Hey cheese, you come up with an original idea if you're such a genius, loser. Making fun of a movie for being 'unoriginal' after seeing only the trailer isn't helping your case that you could do it though, I'm afraid. That's about as unoriginal as it comes. Looks like greater quality than I think most people associate with Spielberg these days, I'm interested in actually seeing what the movie is about. Though I may skip the theatre, I'll just wait for reviews.
War Horse
Trailer
(2:04)
Some of the comments on here about Fallout are dumb. Some are well reasoned. Let me just say that the advertising campaign DEFINATELY capitalized on the success of the recent Fallout entry. But the elements in this that are in Fallout are derived from a great many sources other than the game. The film would have to SERIOUSLY have a hardcore self-deprecating satirical sense of humor, and an even more obvious series of nods to 1950's America to truly be anything like Fallout people.
