Honestly, that's stuff that doesn't matter.
The only thing that caught me off guard was that they made Holmes look scruffy and unprofessional - and stout. Holmes was quite the opposite.
YES he could take care of himself in a fight, he just WASN'T short and stubbly.
Though I can probably forgive all this after realizing it as a prequel.
And whoever said Holmes wasn't relevant in this day and age hasn't done their homework.
