The Star Trek series was before my time, and I'm glad I'll finally get to experience this universe, albeit somewhat changed and reimagined, with a modern look and feel, so that I can actually enjoy it. I have to agree that this will bring in new fans, sure as hell brought me in, hopefully they continue this "reboot" with more movies so I can keep going with that. Maybe I've just been spoiled with modern films and their various advancements, but it's hard for me to go back to all these older movies in these franchises and enjoy them, so when movies like this or Casino Royale come along, it makes me happy that I can join in as a fan without any trouble.
