Honestly, why does anyone actually need to go see the film now?
Solid trailer. Didn't really get me any more fired up for the film but I'm already probably there opening weekend so that's not really a diss. It looks like Guy Ritchie is sticking to his roots which is a good thing. Still, who didn't think of Snatch when they saw the boxing footage? Nice to see Mark Strong getting more work.
She gets a lot of hate but I like Heigl in rom-coms and Gerard Butler has great comic timing. This should be good. That being said, the pacing in the trailer was a little odd. Liked the first one better.
The Ugly Truth
That seems odd especially since word was that the reshoots were focused on adding more of Ryan Reynolds's character. The movie still looks like it's going to have WAY too much going on.

Extended TV Spot
Except this killer isn't fisherman.
The movie looks interesting enough and I'll be there opening weekend but it doesn't look like it'll be close to as good as the BBC miniseries on which it is based. Anyone with Netflix should rent it and check it out. It kind of lags near the end but it's got a ton of twist and turns and is a good watch.
State of Play
The first trailer was intriguing but I really loved this one. One of the few trailers that has actually elevated my level of interest. This might be the last time Terminator: Salvation and 500 Days of Summer are compared but the trailers give you a great feel of the film and have elevated my interest in the films. Can't say that for many other trailers so far this year.
500 Days of Summer
So it's Die Hard 3 from the Director of Die Hard 2? With the elevator from Speed added in for fun?
Maybe this could be kind of like Freaks and Geeks for adults but after watching the trailer my expectations for this film have been lowered. Not only do we see what seems to be most of the movie but it plays like a melodrama. This one could test the Apatow brand name because right now it looks like a rental.
Seriously. They should just call this "Four".
I just threw a post up on my blog about this (www.soulhonky.com) but this red band stuff is getting out of hand. This trailer is almost exactly the same as the original one They just left in some additional (usually gratuitous) swearing. Also, most of the scenes are exactly the same save for the cursing so which film is coming out in theaters?
