My God I feel like I just watched the whole movie. I guess the fact that he's been an insane asylum occurs early enough in the movie that they felt justified to let us know in the preview, but still... anyway this looks really cool, just hope there's still some elements of surprise

a lot of skepticism on here as far as comments..i understand why I guess but I would definitely give this movie a chance. Props to Brit Marling and Mike Cahill for having a bold idea, , along with what looks like great acting and a great look and feel to the movie. Stands out and I'm intrigued

seems like a very cool, level-headed dude who cares a lot about people, and about crafting an important story and giving equal respect to all characters even ones like the guy john hawkes plays. Having not seen the movie yet, I'm definitely intrigued and excited about a new filmmaker making waves

I know there's a lot of critical backlash among movie snobs to movies like this. The claims that they're trying too hard to be dark or that they over-do the "natural" acting. But seriously, judging from the trailer alone and the fact that John Hawkes chose the role, I'd say this is surefire awesome. So let's give it a chance, folks,
