Sorry, in no way does it look like this will do justice to the original. You can't take a hard nosed lead character like Kurt Russell's and expect to have the same effect by inserting a 'strong female' lead into essentially the same exact story line. I don't think in any way that is a sexist remark it just goes to show different character types don't work in different stories/plots. This looks more like the original 'Thing' meets "Whiteout' and we all now how great that turned out.
