Crock of **** plot, and I mean even for science fiction and the series itself Any good writer knows you don't explore these details.
By itself there is absolutely no way that a handful of intelligent monkeys, that seemed to multiple with every shot in an environment that doesn't have more than a few in zoos and labs (and that doesn't even answer how they ALL became intelligent if not a virus) are going to bring the fall of humanity. Action and good looking CGI apes aside, just stupid.
maybe you should see the movie first rather than try to make an analysis on a 1 min 16 second trailer.
