Why is it nobody seems to know how to spell "role" at this site? (Not just this trailer. Check the comments for The Last Stand). It's role. Not "roll."

The Expendables 2
It won't have anything to do with the Red Skulll. Marvel Studios owns the film rights to the Red Skull, not Sony. On top of that, the original comics story was a mess. Editors later realized that the true Red Skull would have been in suspended animation at that time, and so they retconned that storyline. The Red Skull from the Parker storyline was a KGB spy named Albert Malik, not the original Red Skull.

The Dark Knight Rises
Pause at the 1:37 mark and check out the "artwork" inside the ship (or cave, or wherever it is they are). It's the original alien.
@Wordsmi999 I guess you don't read superhero comic books. The obligatory "Heroes meet for the first time but there's a misunderstanding, so they fight." routine is a superhero comic book staple. The filmmakers are being spot on in keeping tune with how these things tend to go. And the thing chasing Iron Man is The Midgard Serpent
Tony Stark is wearing that Black Sabbath t-shirt in every scene, lol. Either all of those scenes occur on the same day, or the guy desperately needs to do laundry.
Super Bowl Spot (Extended)
Apollo, how about you not worry so much about how other people are labeling the film? I've never seen anyone so fanatical about this sort of thing.
@Apollo4 - I don't think you understand the definition of "remake." Burton's "Planet of the Apes" WAS a remake. Burton himself referred to it as a remake as did everyone in the cast and crew. The fact that it wasn't connected to the previous films has nothing to do with it. Brian De Palma's "Scarface" (1983) didn't have anything to do with the original 1932 "Scarface" either but it was a contemporary remake of that film. Promethues precedes the events of "Alien." By definition, that's a prequel.
I'm guessing Loki will use the Hulk against the Avengers. That's what happened in the actual first issue of the comic from 1963.
@Djbummy16 - It seems it wasn't about money. Norton was ditched because he's not a team player, apparently: "Our decision is definitely not one based on monetary factors, but instead rooted in the need for an actor who embodies the creativity and collaborative spirit of our other talented cast members," said Marvel Studios President of Production Kevin Feige. "The Avengers demands players who thrive working as part of an ensemble, as evidenced by Robert, Chris H, Chris E, Sam, Scarlett, and all of our talented casts. We are looking to announce a name actor who fulfills these requirements, and is passionate about the iconic role in the coming weeks."
I just had a nerdgasm.
@Sylentwolf: How strange. Personally, I make my "rent or go see" decision based on a film's reviews or the word-of-mouth it gets--- not trailers. Trailers can really give you only an inkling and a first impression, but you seem to be drawing a lot of assumptions here (like it not being DiCaprio's best work. Erm, how can you know that from a trailer?)
Remember when Jack Nicholson played Jimmy Hoffa? DiCaprio looks (to me, at least) just like a younger version of Nicholson-as-Hoffa in this trailer.
Wow, very creepy and creative trailer. I'd actually never heard of this film series before seeing this, and had no idea what to expect when I clicked on the "play" button. The wedding photos lulled me into a false sense of "Hmm... I guess this must be a romantic film." until the halfway mark at which point I nearly crapped myself.

@jerff: 1. Maldoror was making reference to the soundtrack for "Requiem for a Dream", not the film itself. 2. A person says "Nice to see Evans taking on a more serious role." and you lunge back with "Do some research!"? There was no call for that. Clearly, you're an Evans fan, but do you honestly expect the average person to be as familiar with his filmography as you? And do they deserve to be snapped at if they aren't? 3. Try switching to decaf.
"Also, for anyone who didn't know better, that final shot and the swing before it would have let them know it was a Spider-Man movie [some people aren't the brightest]. " I think you misunderstood Gaff1229's comment. He said that were it not for the mention of Peter Parker's name, it might take people LONGER to realize it was a Spider-Man trailer. Meaning some might not realize it until later on in the trailer. Not that they'd watch the whole thing through and never realize it. And I agree. If not for the mention of Peter's name, and had I seen in this the theater first, I probably wouldn't have realized it was a trailer for a Spider-Man film until the spider bite scene came along.
