Nice borrowing of the song from X-Men: First Class's video release advertisements.
Wrath of the Titans
While I do in fact want to see this, how does the Harry Potter and the Dealthy Hallows teaser have to edit the blood off Hermione's hands, yet Justin Timberlake can clearly get away with two middle fingers!?!?!
The Social Network
Definitely not looking as forward to it as Inception or Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, but looks watchable enough. But seriously...I can't be the only one out there who thinks the first 40 seconds looked INDENTICAL to Ghost Rider.
Last time we saw these two together we got Anchorman and that was a fiesta of stupid yet solid entertainment. At least a guy like Seth MacFarlane can give mean-spirited humor the energy it needs to be funny. This on the other hand looks mean and seriously unimaginative.
Dinner for Schmucks
Where do I even begin? Okay, I've decided...What's with the Hannah Montana references? Not just "MILEY CYRUS!" having nothing to do with the lost boulder from Raiders of the Lost Ark, but somebody actually gave Brooke Shields the role in a theatrical film (yuck). I still, to this day, don't understand the purpose of gross-out, physical slapstick. What's so fun about seeing a lead character in melodramatic agony? No surprise this is coming from the director of College Road Trip - arguably the worst family film I've ever seen. P.S. you stole the poop-shooting pigeon pilots from Dr. Dolittle 2.
"Miss Cyrus. I ask you to stop what you're doing, and I don't just mean this, I mean everything. The show. The music. It's all just awful."
The Last Song
Much, much better than the first and second trailers a couple months ago. NOW it's starting to look alot less like the Dark is Rising and MORE like a genuine, big-budget fantasy film in the vein of Harry Potter.
Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief
As a person who normally doesn't enjoy musicals (seriously, I even struggled through Hairspray the first time), this was impressive! Nice to see Kate Hudson get alot more screen time in this trailer, And this was even catchier than the first one.
Sort of letdown that this is the follow-up for the legendary screenwriter of Slumdog Millionaire. Oh, and what's with the last ten seconds? Even though it's a predictable turn in a romantic comedy like this, why make the last impression so...gloomy? It doesn't match the rest of the trailer's mood. On the bright side, I still love you, Amy.
Nothing says genuine family entertainment like the modernization of a once innocent and timeless children's icon into an obnoxious, cloying mascot cracking shallow teen lingo jokes and breaking in to song as long as the songs are no older than two years old. This is sure to do to kids movies what Transformers 2 did to summer action flicks. Princess and the Frog will murder this polished turd : )
